BIO
H. G. Robert (aka Gergely Robert Hamar) was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1980.
He's an award-winning laureate poet, published author and spoken word artist with a B. A. in Communication and Theatre Arts (Summa Cum Laude) from McDaniel College.
In 2002, he was the recipient of the Dorothy Elderdice International Academic Scholarship.
H. G. Robert is the author of 4 books (Sokatmondo; LOVERS; Confessions of an Onnagata; TABOO WORDS). His writings were also featured in prestigious poetry anthologies (including The Best Poems and Poets of 2004 / 2007), literary magazines, newspapers, and in internet blogs.
He's a distinguished member of AKIOSZ (National Hungarian Artists and Writers Association), Academy of American Poets, Poetry Society of America and International Society of Poets.
H. G. Robert also composed songs, recorded spoken word albums, and created theatrical ballets.
As an actor, he performed in several Theatre on the Hill, Carroll Arts Center and DANCEWORDZ productions.
In 2008, H. G. Robert cofounded DANCEWORDZ, the place where poetry meets ballet.
